TelTech Systems Enables Cell Users to Override Blocked Numbers with TrapCall

The benefits of having access to Caller ID are quickly diminished when a caller blocks their number from view. The question then remains, is the caller someone with which you wish to talk or is it a telemarketer to try and avoid?
MSNBC.com reported today that TelTech Systems, an innovator of communications technology such as the SpoofCard and LiarCard, has introduced TrapCall. Designed for the mobile market, TrapCall is the first cell phone service that unblocks calls and so much more.

TelTech has enjoyed great success with its often controversial SpoofCard, which helped to spark the introduction of TrapCall. This latest solution not only unmasks blocked or restricted calls, it also has the ability to record incoming calls. This feature is a first in the cell phone area.

Originally based on military-level counterintelligence technology, TrapCall is actually very simple. Upon registration, TrapCall instructs new users to reprogram their cell phones to send all rejected, missed and unanswered calls to TrapCall’s own number.

A blocked or restricted call that appears on the user’s cell phone can be looped through TrapCall’s systems by pressing the button that would normally send the call to voicemail. In TrapCall’s system, the number is unmasked and then sent back to the user’s phone with the caller’s number clearly displayed. While this is going on, the caller only hears the normal ring tone, oblivious to the fact that you know exactly who they are.

While the unmasking of blocked or restricted numbers provides significant benefit, users can also visit TrapCall.com to find that the site offers an extensive list of features. These benefits include recording incoming calls, voicemail transcriptions via e-mail and text message, selective Caller ID blocking, Caller ID name and address and more.

To help to drive more rapid adoption of the technology, TrapCall.com also offers a free version for those who prefer to try the service before making a commitment. For more information and a full list of TrapCall's exciting features, please visit: http://www.TrapCall.com/.

Cell phones provide us with so much more flexibility in communications, but they have had their limits over the years. Continued advancements help to keep consumers mobile and protect users from unwanted calls.

This latest advancement from TelTech Systems will help to create a better experience for the cell phone and mobile user. With these added features, TrapCall will likely see increased demand and rapid adoption as there are a number of consumers who want the latest and greatest – whether they need it or not.
