ClearSight Networks has extended the capabilities of Network Time Machine (NTM), its network capture appliance. According to the company, the enhancement expands NTM’s feature set into the 10 Gb/s Ethernet arena, and the product now supports all deployed Ethernet data rates as well as the emerging 10 Gb/s standards such as Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE).

 

The company has also integrated the NTM with the Atlas and ClearSight Analyzer products, which has resulted in a single appliance that has the ability to provide network forensics, data mining and protocol analysis capabilities to network professionals.

 

ClearSight Networks cites Dr. George Kimura, executive director, Technology Innovation Department, NTT-West, a telecommunication company in Asia. He explained that their company works with Nippon Telegraph to research core technologies and services for next-generation networks. This work includes the qualification and interoperability testing of network equipments and architectures used in such networks, and thanks to the monitoring and analysis tools for 10 Gb/s Ethernet, from companies such as ClearSight, they have been able to quickly roll out new service offerings to their customers.

ClearSight’s NTM has given complete end-to-end visibility to KDDI (News - Alert) network administrators and managers monitoring and analyzing their large 10 Gb/s Wide Area Ethernet Network.
