Internet Broadcasting Launches Application for iPhone App Store
By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributing Editor
Internet Broadcasting Systems, a local Internet solution provider for broadcast publishers, has launched the NowLocal application for iPhone (News - Alert) users.
The new local news aggregation tool automatically detects a users location and provides a feed of local stories from thousands of news sources.
When a user changes location, this unique tool automatically updates the feed of stories based on their new location. This capability provides hyper-local news results down to the zip code level.
Mike Potter, director of New Product Innovation for Internet Broadcasting explained that as consumers shift their behavior and use more mobile devices and services, they want to continue to provide the best tools for them to find the news and information they need.
He also noted that NowLocal is another example of the broad range of products and services that they plan to offer to publishers, advertisers and consumers.
IB’s newest application will be available for download free of charge from Apple's (News - Alert) iPhone App Store.
