Opalis Announces IT Integration Pack for CA eHealth

Opalis Software, an IT process automation software firm, today announced the availability of an integration pack that integrates Opalis Integration Server with CA (News - Alert) eHealth, a network performance management product.

The new integration pack enables customers to create a unified, enterprise-wide, cross-platform monitoring service to deliver efficient IT services throughout the data center, according to the company.

“Opalis offers deep integration with more systems management tools than any other vendor in the IT process automation market,” said Charles Crouchman, chief technology officer, Opalis Software. “This Integration Pack for CA eHealth enables enterprise IT organizations to integrate CA eHealth with their IT infrastructure for end-to-end system health management.”

Using Opalis Integration Pack, IT administrators can automate “CA eHealth’s performance monitoring, diagnostic and automated reporting capabilities, integrating the tasks of calculating long-term trends, baselining network resources, and providing performance reports for critical network components such as backbones, server clusters, and Internet links services with other IT systems like IT systems monitors and service desks,” Crouchman said.

Opalis Integration Pack for CA eHealth can be used with integration packs designed for other monitoring and service management products and can “automatically raise incident tickets on IT service desks for critical alarms on pre-determined network nodes and then generate At-a-Glance reports real-time for critical nodes tracked on eHealth and append the report analysis back to the original incident tickets,” company officials say.

Opalis’ solutions enable IT process automation inside and outside the data center, across heterogeneous IT ecosystems, according to the company. Opalis solutions differ from the traditional business service management, data center automation, or IT service automation products by offering a scalable ‘enterprise services’ architecture to automate the processes of critical IT initiatives such as virtualization, provisioning, ITIL, disaster recovery, consolidation, and security, according to the company.

Opalis officials say the company offers IT integration with system management tools from prominent software vendors including CA, EMC, Microsoft, IBM, VMware, BladeLogic, BMC Software (News - Alert), and HP Software

Using Opalis Integration pack, IT management can devise intelligent automation throughout the data center, without worrying about the complexity of the IT infrastructure, according to the company.

Currently Opalis Software offers its IT process automation services to many companies, according to the company, including Woolworth, Vmware (News - Alert), Johnson & Johnson, Toyota, British Telecom, Accenture, and Bank of New York.
