Digital River and SanDisk Team Up for E-Commerce


Digital River (News - Alert) Inc and SanDisk Corporation announced today that they’ve entered into a partnership for Global E-Commerce trade.


 
Starting this spring, Digital River said, the companies will build, host and manage e-commerce stores to support the online sale of SanDisk’s (News - Alert) line of flash memory data storage products in the United States and Canada. Services to rest of the countries will be added later, the companies said.
 
Digital River, Inc is a provider of global e-commerce solutions, builds and manages online businesses for software publishers, consumer technology manufacturers, distributors, online retailers and affiliates. The company’s comprehensive platform offers site development and hosting, order management, fraud prevention, export controls, tax management, physical and digital product fulfillment, multi-lingual customer service, advanced reporting and strategic marketing services.
 
SanDisk Corporation is the inventor and supplier of flash storage cards, for research, manufacturing and product design to consumer branding and retail distribution.
 
SanDisk is the only company that has the rights to both manufacture and sell every major flash card format, including CompactFlash, SD, miniSD, microSD, MultiMediaCard, Reduced Size MultiMediaCard (RS-MMC), Memory Stick PRO and related Memory Stick products, xD-Picture Card and USB flash drives.
 
Digital River Global commerce platform is designed to handle all the complications and chances involved in selling both digital and physical products across the global Internet. This gives Software developers and hardware manufacturers a complete online buying experience from site development and customer acquisition to back office operations, including transaction processing, export controls, tax management and product delivery, the companies said.
