Ensim (News - Alert), a provider of user provisioning and access control software, has announced that CashEdge has deployed Ensim Unify Enterprise Edition to secure and automate the management of its Active Directory (AD) servers.

CashEdge enables financial transactions for institutions such as Bank of America, Citibank, and Wachovia. Company officials said they selected Ensim Unify for “its ease of installation and for its modular design.”

Officials explained that Unify streamlines the day-to-day provisioning, configuring, and management of CashEdge's more than 400 employees, who are located throughout multiple offices worldwide.

Officials pointed out that Unify’s AD and Password Managers enable its IT to automate provisioning and access control, while allowing employees to self manage basic tasks.

Easy to install in less than an hour, Ensim Unify delivers instant savings by reducing the number of help desk calls by as much as forty percent, and also eliminating repetitive administrative tasks.

Ensim Unify is available as a full suite of modules or as individual snap-in tools, which can be added or removed as needed.

The complete suite modules include: Microsoft (News - Alert) Active Directory Manager, which provides control over AD; Microsoft Exchange Manager to help prevent wrong configuration of Exchange server; Mobile Manager, which allows for Over-The-Air (OTA) configuration and wipe of smart phones; Self-Service and User Manager to let employees easily self manage, from distribution lists to email profiles ; Password Manager to allow employees to reset their own passwords via a Web-based portal; and Migration Manager, which automates the migration schedule of mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2007.

Francois Depayras (News - Alert), vice president of marketing and alliances at Ensim said that by using Unify, CashEdge will meet the “increasing demands associated with rapid growth and will reap significant business benefits while gaining a competitive edge in the market.”
