DIGITUS Debuts Mini USB Bluetooth Adapter

DIGITUS, an ISO-certified specialist and supplier of computer accessories and network solutions, introduces its USB Bluetooth 2.0 Tiny Adapter, smaller in size than an American quarter but it has a range of over 164 feet.

Digitus USB Tiny Adapter Bluetooth was first developed in the 1990s by Ericsson (News - Alert) for the wireless networking of devices over short distances (wireless personal area network, or WPAN). Bluetooth enables various devices, including cell phones, PDAs, computers and peripherals to communicate with one another. The use of Bluetooth replaces cable connections between devices.

Unlike other USB adapters, DIGITUS’ new product sticks out of the USB port less than a centimeter, and can stay there permanently without becoming lost. The time-consuming process of plugging in an adapter, and waiting for it to be recognized, is no longer necessary.

Outfitted with a Broadcom (News - Alert) chip and Widcom software, the adapter supports the operating systems Windows XP 32/64, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista 32/64 to make every computer and each laptop Bluetooth compatible.

The adapter creates an ideal traveling companion, especially for business executives. It is able to communicate with all standard Bluetooth devices via the Bluetooth specifications V1.1, 1.2, 2.0 and EDR, thanks to the USB 1.1 interface. Power is supplied via the USB port.

The Mini USB Bluetooth Adapter DN-3020 retails for about $15.50.

Dealers can obtain further information from www.digitus.info. DIGITUS products can be purchased by dealers from the usual distributors.
