Intercasting and Community Connect Expand Mobile Social Networking Offerings
By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributing Editor
Intercasting announced Wednesday that Community Connect will offer its sites to wireless subscribers through ANTHEM, an innovative mobile social networking platform that enables any web-based social networking and community site to easily migrate to the mobile platform.
The platform allows wireless carriers to offer any social networking sites they choose to their subscribers.
“All of our carrier partners have asked us to provision key vertical communities that are in high demand by mobile consumers, so we are happy to serve Community Connect and its mobile strategy with our ANTHEM platform,” said Shawn Conahan, founder and CEO, Intercasting Corporation in a statement.
Conahan said that their large audience would now enjoy a fantastic mobile experience and be able to stay in touch with friends wherever they are.
ANTHEM will reportedly provide BlackPlanet.com, MiGente.com, GLEE.com, Faithbase.com and AsianAve.com with a user interface that will make it easy to view photos, send and receive messages, post comments, search profiles and more, all on their mobile phone.
ANTHEM is also open to major brands and entertainment companies interested in developing mobile social networking communities.
