HeyCosmo's New Personal Concierge and Instant Planner Services Released
By Nitya Prashant TMCnet Contributing Editor
HeyCosmo has launched two new services - HeyCosmo Concierge and HeyCosmo Blaster that promise to eliminate mundane tasks from everyday life.
According to the company, using the service is equivalent to having a private concierge. Irrespective of the city you are in, HeyCosmo Concierge can call local restaurants for reservations, order flowers of your choice, find a limo service that suits your budget, or even track down a plumber in the early hours of the morning.
The new applications are free to use and don’t require downloads or plug-ins. Users simply enter their location and the type of business or service they need into HeyCosmo's site, along with a list of specific requirements or questions.
HeyCosmo said it keeps user data anonymous from vendors and retailers and takes advantage of advanced robo-call technology to call vendors or services and find out if they can match the user's specific criteria.
The Web site shows responses received in real-time and delivers a complete listing of suitable service providers to users without them having to place a single call or sending a single email.
“Online directories and search engines are great, but there's still a lot of manual work involved to see who is available for your timeslot and project, and can work within your budget," said James Im, founder and CEO at Arsenal Interactive, Inc. "HeyCosmo Concierge handles the dirty work in 60 seconds or less -since we all have better things to do."
The company's other new service, the HeyCosmo Blaster, works like an instant planner. With Blaster, users simply enter a date, time, and place to meet up, along with the names and numbers of friends they want to meet. The HeyCosmo Blaster then places simultaneous calls to all the chosen recipients, complete with a personalized message and allows users to monitor in real-time who answered the call, listened to the message, and responded.
If the user is not certain of the exact time or place, it is also possible to set up interactive options that let people vote such as for example, "Press '1' to meet at 1:30 pm or Press '2' to meet at 2:30 pm."
HeyCosmo's services aim to alter the way people organize, communicate, and gather information in their busy lives. Advertisers also benefit since they are able to deliver targeted messages to users.
"HeyCosmo has succeeded in developing new uses for traditional communications technology that will have a big impact on our daily lives. Its social utility applications are perfect examples of how technical innovation can make our lives easier," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMO Conferences.
