Boingo Mobile Wi-Fi Now Available for Select Sony Ericsson UIQ Smartphones

Boingo Mobile Wi-Fi is now available for Wi-Fi enabled Sony Ericsson (News - Alert) UIQ 3.0 handsets.
Sony Ericsson smart phones such as the W960i, P1i; and the recently announced G900 can now download the Boingo Mobile application to get online worldwide at more than 80,000 Boingo hotspots.
Boingo Mobile identifies hotspots that are part of the Boingo Wi-Fi network and automatically authenticates users. Boingo’s network includes more than 500 airports – including 85 of the top 100 airports worldwide – as well as hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, cafés and retail locations.
“An increasing number of smartphones with Wi-Fi capability are now available in the market, giving consumers the option to access their favorite phone applications over a fast and inexpensive connection,” said Jonathan Mendelson, general manager of Boingo Mobile, in a statement.
“Sony Ericsson customers can now experience the broadband speed and great online experience provided by Boingo Mobile Wi-Fi.”
The Boingo Mobile service provides unlimited Internet access to users of Wi-Fi enabled devices that run the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit. Users of those devices can access the Internet in tens of thousands of hotspots in 93 countries around the world.
For a monthly, flat-fee, Boingo Mobile is a fast and inexpensive connectivity option for multimedia mobile applications such as VoIP calls, video streaming, and file uploading and downloading.
Boingo Mobile subscribers enjoy unlimited usage for only $7.95 per month, with no per-minute or per-megabyte fees, no contracts and no cancellation penalties.
Boingo Wireless (News - Alert), Inc., a global player in Wi-Fi, makes it easy for consumers to enjoy Wi-Fi access on their laptop or mobile device at more than 100,000 hotspots worldwide -- including airports, hotels, cafes and metropolitan hot zones -- with a single account.
Through its Concourse Communications Group, LLC subsidiary, Boingo operates wired and wireless networks at 30 airports worldwide, including 24 of the top 100 North American airports.
It may be mentioned here that earlier in July this year Boingo Wireless and free-hotspot.com had announced that Boingo customers would be able to roam for free at all of free-hotspot.com's Wi-Fi locations.
With access to uninterrupted sessions and an assured quality of service, Boingo users will not be required to view advertisements to connect to free-hotspot.com's network of more than 3,500 locations in 18 countries throughout Europe.
free-hotspot.com quadrupled its network size in 2007 and expects to have 5,000 hotspots by the end of 2008, making it one of the fastest growing networks in the world. Boingo, which provides access to the world's largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots, has aggregated more than 100,000 hotspots across the globe, all accessible via one single account.
