By Calvin Azuri TMCnet Contributing Editor
DoApp has introduced an app that will make the iPhone (News - Alert) pull the classic Whoopie Cushion prank. DoApp takes the old-school joke to a new level that will have everyone in the boardroom or in the office enjoying the fun. DoApp develops consumer and business apps that help people have fun, make them more productive, do useful things and on the whole improves their online life.
The Whoopie Cushion has been inspired by the mother-in-law of DoApp’s lead mobile application developer, Tim Zosel. This app includes 10 varieties of gas sounds. The user will be able to choose the right length and power to make the proper sound effect for the moment. In order to use this application, a user has to touch the iPhone once or swipe his finger across the screen. According to Wade Beavers, the vice president of strategy at DoApp, “There’s nothing better than a finely-timed Whoopie Cushion prank! It’s one of those jokes that is timeless, and we’ve taken it to a whole new level.”
DoApp Inc. is an internet applications company, based in Minneapolis, Minn. The company was founded by an early Google (News - Alert) employee last year. It was formerly known as PagePow. The company creates widgets and applications for websites, desktops and mobile devices. These provide distributed content and commerce for its consumers. The products from DoApp are designed to increase traffic, improve consumer’s web experience and to help people make money.
The Whoopie Cushion will work on both the iPhone and iPod Touch. The same will be available from July 11onwards at the Apple (News - Alert) AppStore. This app is priced at only 99 cents. The user of Whoopie Cushion is sure to become the life of the party or the prankster in the office. This app will thus give its user complete control of his own punchline.
Beavers also stated, “Some of us here at DoApp are making the next killer app, but this one is the next killer prank. We beta-tested this with both kids and adults, and there was a smile on every single face when they experienced it.”
