LiveWire Mobile Inks Worldwide Licensing Deal With SPV

LiveWire Mobile (News - Alert), a subsidiary of NMS Communications Corporation and a provider of managed personalization services for mobile operators, has entered into a worldwide licensing deal with SPV, one of the leading independent rock labels and aggregators in the world.
The multi-content licensing deal will extend LiveWire Mobile's independent music library to include ringbacks, full-tracks, ringtones and videos from SPV's four record labels including a number of popular artists such as Alice Cooper, Type O Negative, Whitesnake, Motorhead, Blackmore's Night, Iced Earth, Symphony X and Skinny Puppy.
"SPV has built its reputation as a rock label by working with some of the genre's biggest names," said Ingo Vandre, head of new media for SPV. "This agreement with LiveWire Mobile will allow our artists to gain access to the mobile phones of hard rock fans across the globe and increase their fan bases."
SPV supports a range of independent record labels such as Steamhammer, SPV Recordings, Inside Out, Synthetic Symphony and Revisited Records. LiveWire Mobile will provide its global operator customers with access to SPV's entire catalog of rock bands from around the world.
"With this deal, LiveWire Mobile's personalization services will significantly expand its music catalog in the classic and hard rock genres, providing consumers with more options to get their metal fix on the go," said John Orlando, vice president of marketing for LiveWire Mobile. LiveWire Mobile's integrated suite of music and video services includes ringback tones, ringtones and full track downloads, as well as dedicated content and service marketing. LiveWire Mobile makes mobile personalization services easier to use and helps operators drive service usage and adoption.
