TriZetto Group Adds Sixth Vendor

The TriZetto Group (News - Alert) today announced a distribution alliance with TelaDoc Medical Services to provide benefits administrator customers with telephone access to TelaDoc's national network of board-certified, licensed primary care physicians (PCPs).

The national network of state-licensed PCPs is designed to faciliate TelaDoc consulting physicians to diagnose non-emergency medical problems and recommend treatment. This telehealth service ensures access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year, according to Michael Gorton, chief executive officer of TelaDoc.

"Telehealth emerges as a high-value, mainstream model, and TriZetto's extensive client base allows TelaDoc to bring this valuable service to the largest population of consumers served by an industry leader with best practice access, convenience and savings," said Gorton. "TelaDoc is pleased to be partnering with TriZetto and looks forward to offering strong value and enhanced access to quality care for routine, non-emergency care."

The recent agreement makes TelaDo the sixth vendor partners that have joined the TriZetto Premier Partnership Program. The program offers optimal pricing of vendor products and services that integrate with the company's QicLinkTM claims administration platform used by TriZetto's third-party administrator customers. Because TelaDoc is a program partner, benefits administrators using QicLink may benefit from pre-integrated data feeds that deliver patient medical information to TelaDoc physicians in support of patient needs.

"The TriZetto Premier Partnership Program continues to grow in value by consistently adding new, value-based offerings to our mix of advanced, QicLink-integrated solutions," said Joe Manheim, senior vice president of benefits administration for TriZetto. "TelaDoc delivers a quality, low-cost alternative to non-critical doctor, emergency room and urgent care visits.  Benefits administrators can use these services to help their employer groups enhance cost and quality of care initiatives while lowering overall healthcare spending."
