Provider of SaaS (News - Alert) EDI services, SPS Commerce has teamed up with Open Systems to provide an integrated supply chain solution for mid-market companies.
Open Systemsis a single source provider of TRAVERSE and OSAS accounting, CRM, eBusiness, not for profit, manufacturing and distribution software. Products offered by the company also include: OSAS for Windows, UNIX, Linux and Mac users; TRAVERSE for the Microsoft (News - Alert) platform; and TRAVERSE eBusiness Solutions.
The joint solution pre-wires TRAVERSE users to SPS' network of over 1200 retailer trading partners, according to the companies
“This solution enables our TRAVERSE customers to quickly and easily communicate important documents to their customers, suppliers, third party logistics providers, and sourcing agents,” said Paul Lundquist, vice president of sales at Open Systems.
He explained that customers can send and receive purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices and other electronic documents directly from within their TRAVERSE application.
“Using the 'multi-tenant' Software-as-a-Service model, our users save time and reduce costs by leveraging SPS' specialized expertise, infrastructure and existing maps,” He added.
Archie Black, president and CEO at SPS Commerce, believes that by combining SPS’ on-demand B2B integration with TRAVERSE accounting and business solution, mid-sized organizations can benefit from a “more streamlined and hands-free approach” to communicate necessary order, shipping and billing information with their trading partners.
Last month, SPS Commerce partnered with Cast Iron Systems, and announced the Cast Iron Integration Solution for SPS. The solution enables suppliers to connect their back-office applications with SPS’ outsourced EDI service, SPSCommerce.net, and exchange information with some of America’s leading retailers.
SPS Commerce’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Services are designed to enable organization satisfy customer’s requirements for electronic purchase orders, shipping notices, invoices, inventory status updates, forecasting and more, according to the company.
