BoxTone and Neverfail in Collaboration to Extend Functionality of BlackBerry Enterprise Solution Deployments

BoxTone and Neverfail agreed to extend the availability, management, monitoring and support capabilities of their BlackBerry (News - Alert) Enterprise Solution deployments, according to the company.

The partnership brings together software vendors with previous success in the domain, dealing with multi component BlackBerry environments. The advantages for mutual customers will possibly include enhanced service levels, superior availability and even stronger ROI.

"This new partnership is the result of the market bringing us together," said Alan Snyder, CEO of BoxTone (News - Alert). "BoxTone and Neverfail routinely end up on the short lists of enterprise customers seeking best-in-class management, monitoring, support and continuous availability technologies. This partnership is a win-win for our two companies, our joint clients, and the rapidly expanding business community using the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution."

BoxTone offers a plug-and-play modular platform based on the SmartMP technology core. This platform will allow IT companies to deal with critical provisioning, asset, incident, service desk, problem and capacity management challenges, from trial implementation to full deployment. Neverfail provides continuous availability to BlackBerry Enterprise Server deployments. If there is an outage or disaster affecting the enterprise's data center, this is where Neverfail comes in. It will immediately take action to prevent loss of service by either automatically restarting applications before they fail or switching over to a secondary server so that no downtime or loss of service is experienced.

"The combination of Neverfail and BoxTone truly is a natural fit," said Nick Harmer, vice president of Channel and Sales Development for Neverfail. "As adoption of the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution continues to grow globally, more and more enterprises recognize the importance of a mobility platform and are looking for continuous availability across the extended BlackBerry environment. Neverfail looks forward to working with BoxTone to deliver comprehensive availability protection and a proactive management, monitoring and support solution for BlackBerry deployments."

Neverfail offers the only solution in the market that provides complete protection for email and wireless application environments. Neverfail keeps close track of its customers’ BlackBerry environments, and in the event of a problem, it carry out a number of steps to prevent any kind of loss, with the option of automating a full system failover.

BoxTone has implemented advanced SmartMP technology in applications for true user service-level management through real-time transaction flow monitoring, together with a modular platform based on IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) industry standards. These features are all packaged into a comprehensive Mobile User Management solution.
