By Divya Narain TMCnet Contributing Editor
Exalead (News - Alert), a premier international supplier of search software for companies and the Worldwide Web, has signed an agreement with EntropySoft, an ECI (Enterprise Content Integration) market expert.
According the agreement, Exalead will amalgamate a range of bi-directional connectors from EntropySoft into its foremost enterprise search software platform, exalead one:search. The resulting connectivity will immensely benefit all of its users.
"Organizations today rely on a variety of disparate data sources. Our challenge is to seamlessly unite them through our enterprise information access solutions," said Kevin Kramer, vice president of OEM, Exalead. "Partnering with EntropySoft will allow us to build upon the enterprise connectors we have already developed to offer our customers added-value and expanded choice to further accelerate the deployment phase."
With the new agreement Exalead will be able to further expand its already huge portfolio. The agreement will bring into the ambit connectors for Alfresco, FileNet P8, Hummingbird DM, Interwoven TeamSite, Microsoft (News - Alert) Sharepoint 2003, IBM Lotus Quickplace. These connectors have been enhanced and tested in large implementations for reputed and big business projects.
"Everyday, there are more and more content silos. Our technology simplifies and normalizes the access to all these content repositories," said Nicolas Maquaire, CEO and co-founder of EntropySoft. "We bring to this partnership our expertise in content-centric applications and our technology."
