IPsonar 4.0 Now Available from Lumeta

Network Assurance provider Lumeta has announced the immediate availability of the latest version of its flagship solution: IPsonar 4.0. The solution allows organizations to balance network change with risk management and compliance imperatives. As a result, these organizations are then able to obtain complete visibility into network connectivity and behavior.

This release is designed to make IPsonar easier to use, thus allowing IT personnel to quickly discover critical network information, including all assets, both managed and unmanaged.

This increased availability to scale across large enterprises enables managers and administrators to instantly understand their network environment. As such, the value of Network Assurance is extended across the risk and IT management lifecycles.

Key enhancements in IPsonar 4.0 include the integrated Lumeta Network Index (LNI) that creates an executive scorecard quantifying network risk. LNI enables the measurement of scores over time to determine if the level of network security risk is increasing or decreasing, as well as the most significant contributing factors.

IPsonar 4.0 also includes New Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that will enable dramatically increased scalability and flexibility; the 4.0 release will also improve ease-of-use to build and reuse queries and improved IPsonar MapViewer interface.

This latest release will also offer an Open API to facilitate simple integration with risk management and IT management lifecycle solutions. As a result, users can now leverage IPsonar’s unique discovery capabilities in the context of existing risk management and network management investments.

With the IPsonar 4.0, large organizations can also quickly create a visual representation of all assets on the network, in addition to mapping the connectivity between those assets.  A new SOA Reporting Platform offers greater flexibility, scalability and performance.

New database-driven reporting is also available with both the IPsonar 4.0 and Lumeta’s MapViewer increases usability and functionality. An improved high-end report serer provides greater detail and insight into the network infrastructure and potential issues.

With MapViewer, users can connect directly to IPsonar reports, allowing the use of powerful visual analytics to examine multiple reports simultaneously. IPsonar at the same time easily integrates with existing applications so that organizations can quickly and accurately map all devices and data flow on the network.

MapViewer empowers users to connect directly to IPsonar reports, allowing the use of powerful visual analytics to examine multiple reports simultaneously. At the same time, IPsonar can easily integrate with existing applications, allowing organizations to quickly and accurately map all devices and data flow on the network and leverage that knowledge in the context of industry standard analytic and configuration management tools.

“IPsonar 4.0’s LNI creates an executive scorecard that quantifies network risk: The higher the score, the greater the risk to availability, security, and compliance. With this scorecard, organizations instantly receive information to help reduce the risk lifecycle and handle new risks as they arise,” said Michael Markulec, executive vice president of technology and operations, Lumeta, in a company statement.

“Additionally, with IPsonar engineered as an SOA solution with open APIs, we can deliver tremendous value and enhance other network security solutions as well.”

Lumeta IPsonar 4.0 is available immediately, with pricing beginning at $75,000. Pricing is dependent on the size of the network and number of connections under management.

These latest enhancements to the Lumeta IPsonar ensure that organizations can gain greater value from their network integrations as well as increase the security and functionality of their assets.

In doing so, Lumeta can help to increase the value of network integrations and ensure that these organizations can rely on their systems for everyday operations, while also driving performance and compliance for the long-term.
