Wisper Picks Asoka to Simplify Wireless Broadband Installations
By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributing Editor
Wisper High Speed Internet has picked Asoka USA products for its wireless broadband installations and will now put PlugLink 9650 Ethernet
Adapters on every installation truck to allow easy installation, quick connectivity and broad network reach for high-speed Internet.
Mike Bushard, Jr., wireless network engineer for Wisper, said in a statement that although the company’s professional installation technicians are committed to providing the most solid wireless connection possible, they have been limited by the hard-to-reach areas and spotty wireless coverage. He pointed out that PlugLink by Asoka provides a simple, secure and reliable fix for these trouble installations.
Asoka CEO Dano Ybarra explained that PlugLink products complement wireless networks and allow service providers to provide total coverage around the home or office without having to install new cabling. These products help service providers significantly reduce installation and troubleshooting time.
Wisper High Speed Internet is a Central Minnesota-based company.
Asoka is a developer of powerline networking products that use existing electrical wiring to deliver high-speed networking throughout a home or business.
The company made news earlier this month for introducing two new performance test tools, the PlugLink AV Performance Network Tester (PL8060-PNT) and the PlugLink Performance Network Tester (PL8050-PNT), at International CES (News - Alert) 2008.
