WebEx and Jamcracker Partner to Offer WebEx WebOffice through JSDN
By Susan J. Campbell TMCnet Contributing Editor
WebEx, an on-demand collaboration applications and services company, now part of Cisco (News - Alert), and Jamcracker, has announced a collaboration to allow service providers to offer WebEx WebOffice through the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN).
WebEx Web Office is designed to improve team productivity with hosted e-mail, access to Web meetings, document sharing, group calendaring, task management, threaded discussions, and a powerful data base offering multiple templates.
Through this WebEx Web Office on Jamcracker (News - Alert) JSDN offering, information technology (IT) services providers can resell the WebEx WebOffice to their network of customers.
These service providers will also have the ability to bundle other collaborative communications and IT services available through the JSDN with WebEx WebOffice, such as GoodLink wireless messaging and McAfee (News - Alert) security.
"Jamcracker helps enable service providers to offer a full range of on-demand solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, which is a valuable distribution channel for us," said Gary Reznick, senior director, alliances, Cisco WebEx, in a Monday statement.
"By making WebEx WebOffice available through the hundreds of Jamcracker distributors, we can reach customers at every stage of their business' lifecycle."
WebEx WebOffice is positioned as offering employees the help they need to work effectively with co-workers online, regardless of physical location. The solution can also provide web-based business applications that make collaboration simple and cost-effective.
The solution facilitates the integration of both real-time and asynchronous collaboration capabilities into one unified solution so that businesses can increase productivity, coordination and communications with colleagues, customers and partners.
WebEx WebOffice is designed to allow businesses to be more integrated, efficient and nimble by combing collaboration capabilities such as document sharing, calendaring and real-time web meetings into an easy-to-use suite. The solution can also enable businesses to ultimately become more competitive.
"WebEx WebOffice combines an integrated set of collaboration tools that help businesses boost productivity and competitiveness," said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing for Jamcracker, in Monday’s statement.
"The addition of WebEx WebOffice to the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network catalog allows service providers to package a broad set of on-demand communication, collaboration and security applications for their customers."
As mobility in the workforce increases and technology offerings continue to progress, on-demand solutions will continue to grow in popularity and adoption. This latest offering from WebEx and Jamcracker maximizes the benefits of on-demand and mobile solutions to ensure that businesses of all sizes can collaborate effectively and produce maximum performance, no matter where they are or how they communicate.
