By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributing Editor
TransMedia (News - Alert) has launched Glide Mobile, localized in Hebrew for mobile phone users in Israel and around the world.
Thanks to Glide Mobile, Hebrew speaking smart phone users have anytime, anywhere mobile access to all of their files on their Windows, Mac and Linux computers including photos, music, video, documents, contacts, calendars and bookmarks. By effectively transforming cell phone into a personal computer, Glide greatly expands and links the capabilities of PCs and mobile devices with mobile media management, entertainment, productivity and collaboration applications.
Currently, Glide Mobile supports over fifty mobile phones. Users can submit their phones to be profiled for support once they register and login.
“Glide Mobile is the future of mobile computing available on your smartphone today,” said TransMedia Chairman and CEO, Donald Leka in a statement.
“Glide is unleashing the potential of mobile technology for millions of users around the world fundamentally changing the way people access and share information,” he added.
Glide Mobile made news earlier this month when TransMedia launched support for Glide Mobile in anticipation of Apple Inc. and O2 launch of the iPhone (News - Alert) in the UK. Glide Mobile also added support for the Open Office documents enabling users to access and edit Open Office documents on their iPhones and Windows, Mac and Linux PCs.
