Sirit Starts RFID Reader Swap-Out Program
By Divya Narain TMCnet Contributing Editor
Sirit, a vendor of radio frequency
identification (RFID) solutions, has announced a new Reader Swap-Out Program, under which users who replace their existing RFID readers with Sirit’s INfinity 510 will get a discount of $250. The program encompasses Sirit manufactured fixed readers as well as other similar readers. The program starts November 8, 2007 and ends March 31, 2008. The Swap-Out Program will be carried out through Sirit’s worldwide distributor and reseller network.
“Over the past few years, many RFID programs have been limited in scope to lab or small test environments. As the market continues to mature, many first generation readers and subsequent versions simply cannot meet the performance promises in real world applications,” stated Tony Sabetti, vice president, RF Solutions at Sirit.
“The goal of our Swap-Out Program is to help customers upgrade to the industry’s leading RFID reader, Sirit’s INfinity 510, so they can benefit from the superior performance and technology advancements within this next generation reader. With faster, more accurate tag reads, Sirit’s INfinity 510 delivers highly reliable data which in turn translates to a more effective implementation of RFID technology.”
Sirit’s RFID technology helps customers cut initial engineering costs on their RFID solutions. The extensive suite of solutions offered by Sirit benefits a variety of applications, including supply chain & logistics, cashless payment (including electronic tolling), access control, automatic vehicle identification, near field communications, inventory control & management, asset tracking, and product authentication.
Users can download a Swap-Out Reference Guide for details on hardware and software considerations in moving to the Sirit INfinity 510 at www.sirit.com.
“We feel confident that once users are exposed to the high performance of the INfinity 510, they will see and appreciate why it is recognized as the leading RFID reader,” added Mr. Sabetti. “When you combine our proprietary tag acquisition technology with the most advanced reader management tool-set on the market, you have a reader which can unlock new value and drive efficiencies to the organizations that look to use RFID to improve their operations.”
