Freedom Wireless Inks MNVO Deal, Enters Cellular Market

Freedom Wireless Corporation has acquired an MNVO license enabling it to market and sell Cellular Voice, Data, and Messaging services to the GMS (News - Alert) cellular consumer markets in the North America.

Chris van der Merwe, CEO of Freedom Wireless, noted that this agreement is a major step forward for the Company and enables it to brand its Freedom Wireless cellular service across the largest GSM cellular network footprint in the continental USA as well as the Rogers network in Canada.

He said the MVNO license broadens its product offerings to include cellular, calling cards, broadband, wireless Internet, and the Zebra Technology Voice Control Center. This cellular capability completes Freedom Wireless’ quad network capabilities (cellular, VoIP, POTS and WiFi (News - Alert)) built into the Zebra Voice Control Center.

van der Merwe further explains that Freedom Wireless can sell private branded SIM Card services at very competitive pricing and enable dual mode GSM cellular and WiFi network calling, wireless data services, and domestic and international SMS messaging services. Freedom’s carrier network and customer service center will reportedly provide the international long distance and 611 services.

The company will focus its marketing efforts on the prepaid cellular, affiliate, and non-profit markets to offer unique products that will allow users the capability to enjoy free cellular-to-cellular calling on the Freedom Wireless network, for selected plans starting at $10.00 per month.

“Our value pricing structure will provide our users a significantly reduced monthly cost versus other carrier plans being offered at a much higher cost,” said van der Merwe in a statement.

According to Freedom, there are around 279 million cellular users in the USA with an ARPU between $34.15 and $49.00 per month. The new MNVO contract positions the company to sell service and minutes and rapidly accelerate its booking of top-line revenues in the coming months.
