POSDATA Announces Mobile WiMAX Gaming Device

Korean company POSDATA unveiled a new, WiMAX (News - Alert)-based gaming platform called the G100. This product lets gaming enthusiasts download games and access the Internet using high-speed Mobile WiMAX
connections.
The company claims its solution is the first first portable online gaming device. G100’s platform is developed by POSBRO, a Mobile WiMAX
device subsidiary of POSDATA. Official roll-out of the product, which initially will operate using the 2.3GHz and 2.5GHz bands, is expected by the end of 2007.
“The Mobile WiMAX gaming platform will revolutionize the way people enjoy on-line games and connect to the Internet on the move,” said Joonil Shin, senior vice president of POSDATA, in a statement.
The G100 has an embedded four-inch, touch-screen TFT-LCD a sliding-style game pad. It supports a variety of wireless network technologies, including Mobile WiMAX, WiFi
and Bluetooth.
