NomadISP and MetaGeek Partner to Improve WiFi Performance

Boise-based tech companies NomadISP and MetaGeek have joined forces to enhance the quality of NomadISP's wireless hotspots existing at more than 280 locations, thus ensuring a best-in-class wireless hotspot solution.

NomadISP provides managed Internet access to destination venues including RV parks, marinas and resorts. MetaGeek specializes in the manufacture of Wi-Spy, a 2.4 GHz spectrum analyzer.

Installers like NomadISP employ Wi-Spy to read the different radio waves in the 2.4 GHz spectrum interfering with WiFi signals, in order to ensure seamless wireless network connectivity and internet access. Wi-Spy helps detect poor signals that lead to slow or disrupted network connectivity.

"Wi-Spy spectrum analyzers are a natural choice for folks, like NomadISP, who appreciate value," said MetaGeek founder Ryan Woodings, in a statement. "They're small, powerful, and easy… they're exactly what wireless network installers and administrators need, at a fraction of the cost."

"We've spent the last 4 years figuring out how to take wireless internet to destination locations, we're very excited to now take those hotspots to a whole new level of performance and reliability with the help of partners like MetaGeek," said NomadISP's Chief Operating Officer Cody Harris, in a statement.
